Education Assistant

START DATE: AS SOON AS POSSIBLE

INCLUDED:

  • 3 meals per day
  • Accommodation
  • Work-visa

TASKS:

  • Collaborate with the Education Coordinator to plan, prepare, and run environmental
    education programs.
  • Support the Education Coordinator to ensure a safe and stimulating educational
    environment.
  • Assist with English education programs, including curriculum development, lesson
    planning, and documenting success and progress.
  • Participate in community-based conservation efforts such as river beach clean-ups
    and reforestation programs.
  • Provide teaching support to classes with children, adolescents, and adults,
    encouraging critical thinking and questions to deepen their knowledge.
  • Support the teaching curricular plan.
  • Prepare materials and conduct classes with volunteers and other interns under your
    supervision, directed and supported by the Education Coordinator.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 3-month commitment.
  • Driving license (Manual).
  • Personal laptop.
  • Experience in teaching or working within an education setting.
  • Strong communication skills and and interpersonal abilities.
  • English communication skills, both written and spoken.
  • Intermediate level of Spanish.

UNPAID

Head Veterinarian

START DATE: AUGUST

INCLUDED:

  • 3 meals per day
  • Accommodation
  • Work-visa
TASKS:
  • Lead and organize Vet Internship Program classes and activities and delegate tasks to volunteers and interns.
  • Administer medical treatments and clinical procedures.
  • Maintain feeding, medical, and observation records.
  • Report any abnormal conditions to the Director.
  • Ensure the quarantine and clinic remain clean and organized.
  • Assist with night feedings for nursery animals if needed.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 12-month commitment required.
  • Degree in Veterinary Medicine.
  • Experience in wildlife veterinary care.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols for working with wild animals.
  • Proficient in spoken and written English.

PAID

Marketing Assistant

START DATE: MAY

INCLUDED:

  • 3 meals per day
  • Accommodation
  • Work-Visa
TASKS:
  • Manage social media accounts and create new content.
  • Update and maintain our website.
  • Develop creative campaign ideas.
  • Design and distribute newsletters.
  • Assist with photo and video shoots.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3-month commitment required.
  • Marketing experience
  • Equipment for content creation and editing.
  • Proficient in spoken and written English.

UNPAID

Head Animal Caretaker

START DATE: JULY

INCLUDED:

  • 3 meals per day
  • Accommodation
  • Work-visa

TASKS:

  • Teach, supervise, and lead interns, volunteers, and vet students in assigned tasks.
  • Give conservation lectures and coordinate educational activities.
  • Oversee feeding, diet effectiveness, health monitoring.
  • Ensure cleaning, disinfection, and protocols are followed.
  • Plan and manage enrichment programs, and animal releases.
  • Maintain records and submit monthly reports.
  • Assist in rescue events.
  • Oversee enclosures, supplies, waste, and maintenance needs.
  • Coordinate schedules, meetings for caretakers.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 6-month commitment.
  • Background in wildlife husbandry, biology, or related fields.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols around wild animals.
  • English communication skills, both written and spoken.

PAID

Animal Caretaker Assistant

START DATE: SEPTEMBER

INCLUDED:

  • 3 meals per day
  • accommodation
TASKS:
  • Ensure animals have food and water.
  • Maintain accurate records of animal care and behavior.
  • Report any unusual conditions or concerns to supervisors.
  • Clean and sanitize enclosures, pools, sleeping areas, kitchen, and storage spaces.
  • Assist in implementing enrichment programs for assigned animals.
  • Perform routine maintenance on enclosures and facility areas.
  • Supervise and support volunteers and interns in daily tasks and projects.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 3-month commitment.
  • Background in wildlife husbandry, biology, or related fields.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols around wild animals.
  • English communication skills, both written and spoken.
